End-to-End Anchoring System — Customer Filed Patent on Amsol's Engineering

A construction and infrastructure customer came to Amsol with an application requirement and no product. No drawing. No design. No supplier that could handle the combination of metal, plastic, and rubber in one development programme. Amsol built it from concept to production. The customer filed a patent on the design.

Key Outcome
This is what 360° engineering partnership looks like — when the manufacturing partner becomes the product development partner.
The Situation

From Application Requirement to Patent-Filed Product

The customer needed a structural anchoring system that combined three material types: metal for structural strength and load transfer, engineering polymer for electrical insulation and complex moulded geometry, and rubber for vibration absorption and flexibility.

No single supplier in their market could cover all three material types with the engineering competence the programme required. Multiple suppliers would mean fragmented development, mismatched tolerances at the interfaces, and no single accountable partner when integration failed. They came to Amsol.

The Problem
What the OEM was facing.
No product existed — application requirement only, no drawing, no previous design
Three material types required: metal, polymer, rubber — no single supplier covered all three
Complex interface tolerances between metal, polymer, and rubber components needed coordination
Customer had no manufacturing engineering resource for this type of development programme
Timeline pressure — product needed for market launch within programme schedule
Amsol's Approach
The engineering-led solution.
Amsol led the complete development: application analysis, concept design, material selection for all three
Metal anchor body: closed die forging + CNC machining — structural load transfer
Polymer insulation body: engineering plastic (PA6/PP) — injection moulded to complex geometry
Rubber damper element: NBR/EPDM — moulded and vulcanised for vibration absorption
Iterative design: 2–3 prototype cycles to optimise dimensional interfaces and assembly sequence
What Amsol Did

From Concept to Patent — Seven Development Stages

Amsol led every stage of the programme — from application analysis through to production tooling and first series delivery. The customer's role was to validate; Amsol's role was to engineer and manufacture.

01
Application Analysis
Load, electrical insulation, and vibration specifications defined for each component
02
Concept Design
CAD models, material grades selected, component interfaces designed for assembly fit
03
Prototyping
All three components prototyped across all three processes — assembled and tested for fit and function
Patent Filed
Customer filed patent on complete system design — based on Amsol's engineering work
"
The most valuable thing Amsol gave this customer was not a component — it was a design that no competitor could copy. When your manufacturing partner's engineering work becomes the basis for your patent, the relationship has moved well beyond supply chain.

The Results

What the Programme Delivered

Every result below is documented and traceable to this supply programme.

Patent
Filed by Customer
Amsol's engineering work became legally protected intellectual property for the customer's market position
3
Materials Integrated
Metal (forging + CNC) · Polymer (injection moulding) · Rubber (vulcanised moulding) — one assembly
Concept
to Production
Customer arrived with a requirement. Amsol delivered a production-ready, patent-worthy product.
Zero
Drawings at Start
No product existed before Amsol's involvement — programme started from application requirement only
New Product Development
Application Requirement Without a Design?
If you have an application requirement but no product design — Amsol can lead the development programme from concept to production. Multi-material, multi-process, single accountable partner.
